Calling all poets! 🌿🐝 Pollinator PowerWorks is hosting a haiku contest, and the winning poem will be featured on a sign along the Rail Trail, near our newest pollinator gardens!

A haiku is a traditional Japanese poem with three lines (5, 7, and 5 syllables) that often captures the beauty of nature.

Why Pollinators Matter

Pollinators—birds, insects and animals who help plants regenerate—need more habitat and sources of food. A world without pollinators certainly can’t sustain seven billion people, which is why we need to act now to save our food supply and the health of our ecosystem. Planting even just a few more native plants saves a significant number of pollinators.
